Best Practices for Choosing an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Solution

The increase in cloud adoption has significantly impacted the way organizations think about security, in the sense that threat visibility into infrastructures has become mandatory in light of how the threat landscape has evolved. Starting from the premise that threat actors can and will breach infrastructures, organizations need to begin focusing on detecting and responding to these breaches as swiftly as possible to restore affected environments, ensure business continuity, and stay compliant with new regulations.

Some 84 percent of CISOs in the US and Europe agree that EDR tools have given them more visibility into attacks than ever, according to Bitdefender’s Advanced Threat Index survey. They also agree that cyberattacks are a matter of “when” and not “if”, and that, while security platforms focus on addressing 99 percent of threats, EDR solutions focus on the last 1%. This level of visibility enables greater fidelity in terms of investigating incidents and allows organizations to address potential security breaches before they can inflict irreparable financial and reputational damage.

Since security boils down to how to allocate finite resources, the increased acceptance of employee mobility, new developments in traditional and mobile operating systems, and the  rise of more advanced adversaries, has prompted organizations to rely on a new generation of detection, investigation and response tools to effectively defend valuable digital assets.

Bitdefender and 451 Research will host a webinar exploring why organizations need EDR solutions that can fill in the security gap, what they should consider when choosing the right EDR solution, how security operations can be streamlined by tight integration between EPP and EDR, and how easy-to-use EDR helps your organization cope with a security skills gap.

To find out more about how organizations can better protect themselves from advanced and sophisticated threats, join our “Best practices for choosing an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution, by 451 Research and Bitdefender” webinar on October 2nd, 2018, 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM EEST. The webinar will be hosted by Fernando Montenegro, Senior Analyst in Information Security at 451 Research, and Bogdan Carlescu, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Bitdefender.
